Fine Lavender Essential Oil Maillette — Distilled in Valensole
Our fine lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia Maillette) comes from our flowers cultivated in Valensole, the historic heartland of fine lavender and a renowned centre of Provençal distillation. As in times past, our flowers are naturally wilted for one to two days — this slow drying allows moisture to evaporate gently and gives the bees time to safely leave the flowers.
Traditional distillation in Valensole
After wilting, the flowering tops are steam distilled in a still in Valensole for at least one hour, using a slow method that preserves aromatic richness, limits oxidation and reveals a deep, balanced and lasting fragrance. Every step is carried out with care in a preserved environment, where respect for bees, biodiversity and the terroir of Valensole is central.
An exceptional composition, laboratory certified
Thanks to the unique conditions of the Valensole plateau — altitude, sunshine, limestone soils — our essential oil reveals an exceptional natural concentration of linalyl acetate (39.6%) and linalool (39.6%), the two biochemical markers of a first-quality fine lavender. This composition has been verified and certified by GC/FID chromatographic analysis performed by an independent certified laboratory.
Bottled in amber glass to protect the essential oil from light and preserve all its aromatic qualities over time. The 10 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml sizes come with a dropper and an adaptable spray for precise and versatile use. The 250 ml, 500 ml and 1 litre sizes are delivered without accessories.
